Motion Plus Aquatic & Therapy Center’s Long Beach location brings the same therapist-owned, individualized rehabilitation care to the South Bay and Long Beach communities. Led by Dr. Henrick Macalintal, DPT, this branch of the Lawndale-based practice offers aquatic physical therapy, land-based rehabilitation, and speech therapy services in a small, focused clinical environment where patients receive one-on-one attention throughout their recovery.

Aquatic therapy at Motion Plus uses the natural properties of warm water to reduce pain, improve mobility, and accelerate recovery for patients who may struggle with traditional land-based exercise. The buoyancy of the water reduces effective body weight by up to 90%, allowing patients to begin movement earlier after injury or surgery with significantly less discomfort. Hydrostatic pressure helps control swelling, warm water promotes blood flow and muscle relaxation, and adjustable water resistance enables therapists to progressively build patient strength over the course of treatment. Every aquatic therapy program is medically-based, individually designed, and tied to specific functional goals.
